Does anyone play Lexulous on Facebook? I'd love some new people to start games with.

I have never even heard of it! What is it?

It's scrabble. Just can't use the name because of trademark issues I assume.

Sorry. I don't play Scrabble. It causes me anxiety. Silly, I know.

My sister is a scrabble nut--one of those who has all the 2 letter words and words starting with Q that don't need a U memorized.

The thing about playing online is it rejects it if it's not a word. I'm a horrible speller, but I can play this because it makes you try again if you spell the word wrong.

That sounds like a lower pressure situation than sitting around a scrabble board.

Much. It also gives you a list of 2 letter words, and access to a spelling dictionary where you can type in a word and it will tell you if it is valid or not.

I'm still liking Words better BUT that is mostly to do with the notification process. I like the smaller board on Lexulous- quicker games. =)

Yes I find the huge board on Words too clumsy.

LOL! DH stopped playing Words with me because I kept winning. (He doesn't like to lose at ANYTHING!) He says that I cheat because I don't always know what the words I play mean. I see it as an upside to playing online- the computer knows if its a real word or not and sometimes I just get desperate and fill letters in randomly for the most points! I try to know my words but I'm not opposed to trying alternate spellings to get a word through. =) It also helps to remember odd words that others have played that you know work, even if you have no idea what they mean! =) (A lot of 2 letter words are like that.)

Jew is not derogatory! Lexulous takes it - I have used it many times.
I supposed if you say "You Jew!" as if it's an insult, but anything can be used that way. I am a Jew. That is not a negative statement.

Vic- Words won't take words that should be capitalized- such as Jew, Nazi, etc
