Yay! the 7am thing worked....DH re-set the clock in DS's room and put a post it over the last two numbers and wrote a 7 on it to remind DS that until the first number is 7 he can't get up (except bathroom). this morning he came into our room at 7:01a and exclaimed...."Yay! Daddy, Daddy, I waited until 7!"

Woo hoo! Occasionally DS1 would get up before 7 and all I had to do was say "What does your clock say" and he's run back to check and go back to bed. I'm so glad your DS is proud of himself. That's the best part.

Bunsy is so wise! It has been working for almost 2 weeks now! One day DS called out "my clock is broken, it is stuck on the 6", apparently he had been up a while and it was hard to wait, but otherwise he is getting up, going to the bathroom, going back to bed and getting up just as the clock turns 7 (even with DST). No more 6am, 5am, 4am waking up for the day!

Awesome Dara! So happy it worked for you! I may have to take Bunsy's advice and go get a clock for DS's room. He is typically a really good sleeper (goes to bed at 9:00pm and doesn't get up until 9:00-9:30am) but lately he has been waking up at 7:00 to use the bathroom and then not going back to sleep. Its too early for me, I just can't function that early. We'll give 8 a try.

That is SO cute Debbie! I won't tell you about the times I snuck into their rooms and set their clocks back so I could get a little MORE sleep. Shhh. It's a secret!

Love it Bunsy! I may have to remember that for some weekends when DH and I need more sleep!
