I don't mind a little bit of romance in a book but if it's too much it makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't like reading things that make me feel either embarassed to read them or like "Oh I hope no one knows I'm reading THIS!!" So I think for my own comfort level I will skip these books!

I finished the series....after awhile I started skimming over the erotic parts...felt like they were on repeat but I did enjoy the books. I'm curious about the movie now and how it will be played out. I kept picturing Chris Hemsworth as Mr. Christian Grey. ;-)

Funny story related to that -- I haven't read the books, but I was at my DD's dance class the other day and saw a mom reading one. Can I admit I was like an eighth grader thinking, "She's reading about lots of S-E-X!!! Naughty naughty naughty!" (Seriously, what am I, 14??)

I sat on the bus and read it on my Kindle and the guy next to me was reading the Bible! I figured we canceled each other out!
