A Message from AuntSueto4:

Thanks to Sus and Ladyandrearose for the message about MLM shutting down, and the start of the new MOM site.

I’ve been dragging my feet on this decision, not wanting to do it, but I need to do it. Right now, I need to take a break away, indefinitely, as I'm on my computer way too much, and not getting all the things done that I need to get done. I’ll probably be a “guest”, “checking in” as it will be hard to break away, after being on every day, most of the time more than once a day for the past two years. October 8, 2011 was my 2nd anniversary of being on MLM. Please feel free to leave me msgs. here, and I’ll check later for them. TIA!!!

WELL, that resolve didn’t last very long. I registered last night because I wanted to reply to a post/thread by Cakemakermom. Then found a couple of more to reply to also. So you are one more closer to 200!!!!

Well, I do still need to work on not being on the site so long as I have been (yep, hours at a time, trying to catch-up or keep-up.) I do need to keep up on the rest of the things in my life, and not neglect them as I had been before.

My sister, Barb was here in October, right over the time of the shut down/new site starting up. I thought she was going to be here just overnight, as she said she was just planning to scan family pictures that I had that she didn’t, so I didn’t post about being off, since I thought I’d be right back on. She ended up staying for alot longer, helping me to get rid of many things from my apt. and two storage lockers. Now, I’m down to part of one storage locker. I passed my apt. inspection!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!! They will be back in six months to inspect again and see if I’ve been moving forward with getting rid of more things.

Thank you for your friendships, birthday wishes and encouragement when I needed it.

I’m glad I was able to help many of you, giving encouragement, sending birthday wishes, sharing clipart/graphics (now I need to learn them all over again, how to post them!!! ) and sharing my life experiences and 35 years child care experiences.

BTW, Cindy & Lil, Thank You for starting this new site!!!!!!! It’s Wonderful!!!! I like the new pink/gray, Jessie colors, are the best!!!!!!! Easier on the eyes to read!! That’s my Vote!!!

Glad you are getting things done at home. I know it's hard to find a good balance between internet time and home time. I was like that when I first joined MLM!

Thank You cakemakermom for your encouragement on my apt. with getting rid of stuff to be able to stay here and passing my inspection!! My sister Barb, really helped me with getting rid of stuff and asking me questions such as do you really want to "spend your real estate on that?" I did really well this time with getting rid of much, much more than I kept. I donated ALOT to the thrift store near me; dumpster and recycle got lots too. Feels good to have more space!! I didn't realize how much I'd been saving, since it all didn't come in at once. It is alot easier for me to donate things if I know there are others that can use them.

Yes, it's hard to find a good balance between internet and home. I can tell already by the pain in my right arm/mouse hand that I've over-done it yesterday and today, being on other sites as well as here. So, Bye for now, until next time...

@ ladyandrearose, BUMMER, about dh not getting the job. Did he get any offers from any of the others that he was applying for?

How was the Christian Community fair? I did not end up getting to go this year.

You're right, I need to take the time to do the things I need to do, which sometimes, er well, lots of times I don't want to do them, but they need to be done anyway. I'm pretty caught up for today. YEAH!!!!

@ Cindy: Thanks for the Welcome back! YUP, my resolve didn't last very long to take an indefinite break!!! I had been doing the "guest"lurker part until I wanted to reply to a post.

BUT, I'm going to have to get better than I had been about not being on here that I didn't get done what I needed to.

I read you got business cards for MOM!!!! Whoo-Whoo!!!! May I have a "bunch" to give out like I did with MLM cards? Dr's, bus, grocery store, and whereever I meet young children and parents. Do pm's work like the old way or shall I email you my mailing address? I've missed giving cards out and the opportunity to share about the MOM site!!!!

I'm really glad you and Lil started this site, so all of us didn't get cut off from each other. That would have been a tradegy of epic proportions, IMHO!!!!

I do miss the old, easy way of being able to have the icons for bold, size, emoticons, etc. right there on each box. I'm using the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, not sure how to get the other kind of reply box. I'm still learning, and more!!! OOHH!!! I JUST FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!! Just click reply instead of using the quick reply box at the bottom. ;D Except, I have not found the highlighter for text icon, I did look at all the icons above in the add tags box.

@aunt Sue -- Christian Community Fair was a blast for DD! I may have also figured out why sleep and I don't mix well, I have an appointment tomorrow w/ someone I met there.

DH is still looking, four interviews and no job yet. Although Bobby and Steve's took him back.

I don't understand, sleep and you don't mix well?

I had to do what's called a Sleep study to determine if I have sleep apnea. Yes, I have OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) and have to use a Bi-Pap breathing machine at night to help me sleep. It blows room air into your nose, and creates like an air splint at the back of your throat to keep your airway open, so you don't stop breathing. Need more info, just let me know.
