Anyone have any good smoothie recipes? I prefer no bananas or peaches! I am getting a tooth out on Thursday and wont be able to eat any thing I have to chew. Im not a big fan of pudding, jello, or yogurt. And Im not huge on eating ice cream a whole lot! So smoothies is my next best option lol. Thanks!

This is my recipe. It does have bananas but you could totally leave them out or replace them with a fruit you do like. I like it because it's a complete meal with protein, fruit, vegetables, and has great stuff like omega 3 and 6 in it.
Smoothie recipe:
2 frozen bananas (Put in a sink or cup of warm tap water for a few minutes, while you gather the other ingredients. The skins should slip off, but the fruit should still be frozen) 8-10 frozen strawberries ½ cup frozen bluberries 1 cup plain yogurt ½ cup vanilla yogurt ½ of one sheet on Nori from the packages of large sheets 2 large or 3-4 small leaves of dinosaur kale (Just tear the washed leaves several times, leave stem on. If you use the kale with the curlier leaves, remove stem) 1 cup milk ¼ cup hemp seeds sprinkle of cinnamon 2 large dollops peanut butter (I use a soup spoon)
Combine all ingredients in blender. I start with the chop ice setting and then switch to liquefy. This makes 5-6 servings.

OK, here's mine:
3/4 cup ice 3/4 cup frozen mixed berries 1 scoop protein powder 1 Tablespoon ground flax seed 2 huge handfuls of fresh kale leaves 3/4 cup orange juice
Blend 'til smooth.

I usually make mine like this:
OJ or apple juice (really any 100% juice) banana low fat vanilla yogurt frozen fruit (I buy it and like Target's best - strawberries, mango, pineapple, mixed berry - I use different kinds all the time)

Almond butter is really yummy too. I sometimes substitute another nut butter for the pb, or another "milk" for the cows milk, like coconut milk or soymilk.

I make smoothies almost every day. I will pm you a list of recipes. The recipes all have 2 scoops of shake mix on them but you could try it without it.

My husband has some vanilla flavored whey protein that may work with those smoothies katie. Thanks again for the huge list!

I just use fresh fruit, milk and carnation instant breakfast (vanilla) to even out flavor and add protein and b vitatims. Sometime throw a little ice in. Kids love it. We have used bananas, berries, and any other fruit that is getting bruised and may not get eaten despite still being good.
