Today's adventure started with solo trip. I convinced DH to sleep in and let me take C to school. It was fun. 65 minute trip from flat to flat when you hit all the buses and tubes just right like I did this morning. It is a beautiful, sunny morning so I really enjoyed my walk. There is no guarantee what the weather will be like in an hour! It's more twisty and turny weather-wise than Minnesota.
We have no firm plans for the day. I'll wake DH in an hour or so and see if he came up with a plan during the night. I'm perfectly content with hanging out here today.
The Dad returns tonite and he is a mover and a shaker. I know Saturday and Sunday will be busy, busy, busy. We should maybe rest up a day!

I am ready to be home but I can also imagine living this way--if I were independently wealthy. The 3 bdrm flat we are in is 3 million dollars market value. It is provided for him as a gov't diplomat.
I've got the dishes done. I organized C's misc junk to ONE table in the living room. Dh is sweeping the flat. Our friend is pretty perfectionist minded. I don't k ow what time he is due home. I want the place neatened before we head out anywhere in case he beats us home.

Did you decide to rest today after the cleaning? Or are you going to head out on an adventure?!

We are about to venture out. We are going to just walk the opposite direction from the we've gone on every other trip. We will see what we see and find somewhere for lunch. When we're tired, we will hop a bus home.

It has been lovely. The time alone with dh has been fabulous. Dan is home and the weekend is sounding busy. We're headed to Cardiff tomorrow for Dr Who experience and Windsor Castle on Sunday. Five hours on a train tomorrow, two on Sun. I should probably bring uno along cuz C has a plan to whip my bum. I beat her 3 times last night and she needs revenge.

That's so cute! Has she been pretty well behaved?

She has been very good. No problems. She talks constantly and very loud. She did a good job quieting down when reminded. I reminded her that my head hurt with loud sounds. Gentle reminders did wonders. As always, kids are better for others than for their parents.

I'm not sure. The twins seem to be having a good time without us. Marty is sleeping all night with bunsette whick makes her happy. Apparently Alex wanted to clean so they did some housework this week. It will be interesting to see what their idea of clean is.

Enjoy your Dr Who & Windsor Castle experience. I am very curious as to what your children's idea of clean is.....
