Good girl. I know that's not an easy conversation to have.

I'm convinced that us women are stronger in crisis than men...
I hope all checks out with the new car!

I think as women we have an easier time accepting and moving on.

even with little things, I see that with my husband... news stories that get to him, the election... things people tell him

It wasn't. He's still in such a fog, can't think straight. And don't get me wrong, it's not like I can half the time either...but Iknow when it comes to my job I just have to buckle down and bust some balls.
I agree Gwen...maybe accepting isn't the right word...I don't know what is right now...but totally agree. Men can be big babies. And not that I'm calling DH a baby, but I know he is struggling A LOT right now.

Both of you are struggling. There is a grieving process that each of you will have to go thru at your own pace. There will always need to be one that is stronger at different points along the road. Sometimes it will be you sometimes it will be DH.

Yep. Absolutely. And we're totally different people so we'll go through it very differently. As long as we're there to hold each other up is all that matters. I don't want to become that statistic of people who divorce because of a situation like this. We want a baby soooooooooooooooooo freaking bad.

Amy.. after Ari passed we spent a small fortune on a Snuza for Ella. It's a breathing and movement monitor that detects if a baby doesn't breath or has shallow breathing and movement for 15 seconds.. then it vibrates to wake the baby.. then an alarm goes off if another five seconds goes by w/o movement....it clips to the diaper.
We will only use it up til a year old with her... and after that; we want you guys to have it!

Baby dust, Baby dust!!!!! I have a feeling this will bring you closer together. I've never met your DH and I don't know you very well, but, I think the two of you will support each other thru this. Love overcomes!

Last night me and DD were so mad at DH because he called and yelled at both of us and kinda wrecked our good day so when she picked me up from the park/ride we held hands and called up positive ju ju to get out of our Dad funk! It worked!

hey man...prayer is powerful. steve and i were in a funk the other night too after hockey...sitting and talking about how we may have caused it, or what we could have done to stop it, and i just told him "STOP! We can't think like that...that's the DEVIL in our head" and then we just prayed...and i tell ya, those thoughts haven't gone through my head again since.

It's easy to fall into that dark hole. When my Dad died I didn't think I'd crawl out. But that isn't how my Dad would want me to behave. And you know that's not how Ari would want it either.

peace of mind is such a blessing!! And we're happy to pass it on! I think hospitals should offer this thing to all mothers as an optional add on to their bill...
