Thanksgiving plans are the same as usual for us. We'll drive an hour to MIL's house for dinner at NOON. Always noon. Do not disrupt noon. Last year's Thanksgiving was the last family gathering before FIL passed away. I can tell it is weighing on DH. It will be a challenging holiday season.
There will be time in the afternoon to go visit my sister. They only have one son joining them for dinner so it will be quiet at their house. All the other kids and the son's daughter are other places.

We're having thanksgiving here this year. We thought it would just be the five of us but now my parents are making a day trip. I think we're going to use the rotisserie on the grill for our turkey. Usually we deep fry it.

DH announced tonight that we're going to go to Fleet Farm next Friday. I said, "Um, you know that's Black Friday, right? All the crazies will be out."

Sounds like a good day Angel!
I'm not really looking forward to it. I sense lots of dysfunction and impatience in the extended family. I will take a big breath, paste a smile on my face and stay out of all discussions/arguments/fights.
