How long do you keep up your holiday decorations?

We usually take ours down around January 1st -- but our tree this year is SUPER dry so we'll probably take it down tonight, just a few days early. It's dropping needles every time you glance in its direction!! Ah well. We put it up early so this is the expected result! I always have mixed feelings about storing everything away. I'm a bit relieved to get the house "back to normal" but it's tinged with nostalgia for the holiday being over and getting back to work. No more holiday get togethers or parties to look forward to ...

Our tree stays up until I'm in the mood to take it down. We have artificial so there is no hurry.

We usually keep it up until right after NYE, but I took everything down yesterday....feels good to be done with it already!

Depends on the year and if we are celebrating Christmas at our house in January with relatives. I like the decorations so ours are staying up until next weekend.

The day after Christmas or whenever we get back from traveling. We usually end up rearranging the living room every year too!

Normally I would be taking stuff down now, but we are hosting a family Christmas gathering at our house next weekend so it's staying up. It's actually driving me a little bit crazy to have to wait.

Usually we take it down the weekend after New Years. If we had a real tree it would probably be earlier. We leave our outside lights on through NYE too.

We usually put it up the day after Thanksgiving and down new years day...this year was whatever we felt like. I took the tree down on the 26th. Needed to push to a new year, I guess! lol

My family tradition is the Friday after Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. My DH hates that tradition (he hates Christmas). This year we did Thanksgiving day to the 29th. It is nice to have the living room back. Although I miss the peace of the lighted tree. sigh.

Oh man...I sound like the Grinch here. My OCD for cleanliness and lack of clutter takes over quite strongly and I take my tree and decorations down the night of Christmas. I'm so ready to have my house back to normal by then and DH usually agrees.
