Well, I'm almost 36 weeks and baby has not decided to turn yet. Doc has given me a few options (chiropractor, a procedure to turn baby at 37 weeks, or c-section). Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and if they have done things more "naturally" to try and turn baby.
Thanks for any help ladies!

Oh dear. Silly baby. I can only give you hope. DD turned at 39 weeks--with a partner in the way! It is possible.

I have an ultra sound tomorrow. I really felt like it turned this weekend, but then this morning I felt a big head right back up in my ribs again. I hope it decides to turn soon, before they force me into this stupid procedure or getting a c-section. I really don't like either of those options.

No, the options don't sound fun. BUT whatever it takes to safely get Baby O here.

This sounds silly but I read that if you hang off a chair upside down for a few minutes it could get the baby to turn. DD2 was breech, I did that and that night I swear I felt her turn (it was kind of uncomfortable) but our next appointment she was head down...this was also around 20 something weeks too (I can't remember the exact week it happened)

Jaycob did not change till late, late enough they were going to start trying to switch him but he switched by the next appointment, probably about 36 weeks also.
I have heard about a flash light, not a clue if any of these things have worked, hang up side down, you could try nudging the baby over in once direction like a circle and see if it helps and to make more room have your belly hanging when trying to do it.

I was 38 1/2 weeks before Ella would turn. Her head was at like 3 o'clock... eventually as time grew closer and after I increased my walking by double she turned on her own. I don't think she liked all the bouncing around I was doing!

Maybe I just need to start walking more. I have been so sick and busy with work/school lately I just haven't been able to get out for a good walk. Now that school is done, work is calmer and it's cooler out I can do that!

I was worried about this and started gathering information about it. I found out 2 things... first, after talking to two moms who had breech babies and a customer of mine who is a midwife - I learned that turning the baby is painful and stressful for mom and the baby and 9 times out of 10 the baby goes right back to the breech position. Both moms I spoke to had tried to turn them unsuccessfully and both ended up having c-sections, which went smoothly for both of them.
I don't know if this helps.. its just what I learned when I was concerned about it. I've also heard of babies turning during labor.. so you never know!

We have an US today to see what baby is doin in there. My doc told me the procedure can put you into labor, and 40% of the time women end up getting a Csection anyway because of the amount of stress. At this point, I don't really care what my doctors say, or what they want to do, this baby will turn when it's ready, and if it doesn't turn by 40 weeks THEN I'll look at options for Csection or whatever else.

Walking can only help you and the baby.

I don't have any advice about a breech, but, both my babies were Csections. Yes it's major surgery and it does hurt, but it's really not that bad. Especially if it's for babies safety. And if you have short term disability you can claim it after a csection since it is major surgery.
