Happy Monday!
It's my (and DH's) 30th Anniversary today. We're spending the entire day together. Well, so far that means I'm watching him sleep on the couch and have taken medication for my killer cramps. Life sure has a sense of humor!

Happy Anniversary Bunsy! Cheers to many more!
Yesterday when we got back from our weekend trip my mom and I made our Disney World plans. We leave 6 weeks from today! Woohoo! My parents gave DS a Dumbo stuffed animal (my dad's favorite Disney character) with a "magic feather" attached with a note. He was so shocked.
It's back to reality day for me a tough week ahead to get ready for a big project launch at work on Friday. Wish me luck!

Happy Anniversary Bunsy!
Yay for Disney plans! We went last December and had a blast!
DD and I had a relaxing day. Lots of playing and laughing. Can't believe how fast she's growing up.

Good to see you Ballerina! Hope you and DD are well.
We are excited about Disney. I haven't been since I was 12. This is DS's first trip and my parents are treating us so it's even more exciting.

Thanks jrose! Nice to see you!
I'm shopping Modcloth.com. We're invited to a 50s theme NYE party so I need something to wear. True vintage is hard to find in my size - those ladies were skinny!

Hi Ladies! Happy Belated Anniversary, Bunsy! Awesome -- impressive - way to go!!! 30 years, WOW!!! Deb, glad you had a great weekend away! We just booked our FL plane tickets tonight (for spring break) - it's nice to officially have something to look forward to this year.

UGH it's 10:30 pm, time for BED. Tonight DH worked late, so by the time I made dinner, fed the kids, oversaw homework, helped DD1 practice piano, got the kids showered and THEN my hair was in urgent need of being colored (roots were really starting to show) so I had to tackle that annoying project -- here it is I can finally sit down and it's LATE. Can I quickly say that I HATE hate loathe coloring my hair? BLAH. Wish I wasn't so gray ... and although I hate doing it, I can't afford to have it done at the salon and I must have it done or I'd look like my kids' grandma instead of mother!! I'll grow old gracefully - LATER when I'm older.

I am still working....it's been a long day. I cannot wait until the project launch is done. Fortunately I am working on it from home tomorrow. So much easier to focus (less distractions - DH knows to stay in his office).
Funny about your hair Renee! I stopped coloring for about a year and then went back to highlighting at the salon when DS noticed grays. Because I have lighter hair it's not horrible yet. My mother in law stopped coloring when she became a grandma (at about 49 or 50).
Good to see you Jrose!

Nice to see all of you too! :-D
I am having a tough time trying to find something to wear to my cousin's wedding next weekend. The ceremony is outside (I'm pretty sure that's what I read). I have a skirt so thinking maybe a nice top...but I can't find anything I like. It says dress to impress on the invite...I wonder if a nice sweater over some black leggings and nice boots is impressive enough?! I just don't ever dress up so buying something dressy seems like a waste of money to me. I wish I could download outfits off of pinterest it would make my life much easier hahaha! :-P

An outdoor wedding at the end of October and "dress to impress"? Those don't go together very well. Wear what you are comfortable in. I'd do a last ditch search for a nice top to go with the skirt - seems dressier than leggings. But generally, I figure people aren't there to look at me anyway.

Hair coloring: If you have any flexibility in your schedule, you can find options for free color on craigslist in the Service/Beauty section. Licensed cosmetologists need models for their extended training at "nicer" salons. I've had cuts and color at salons in Uptown, Edina & Chanhassen.

Mystery dinner experiments that turn out are a nice surprise!
Ugh I have a headache & am feeling very cranky. We're at DD1 dance class and I still have work to finish, it's noisy & chaotic & I just want peace & quiet & to NOT have work to do!!! Maybe I'll finish it in the morning instead. We'll see how much I can push til tomorrow.
I feel bad when all of my patience & goodwill is used up during the workday. I don't want to be cranky with the people I love the most you know?!? Sigh ...
