I LOVE these shows. I love that they are based on fairytales.. but with a twist... They both have some humor, some darkness, some mystery and they both make me want more!
Anyone ever read any of the original Grimm fairytales?
Any thoughts on these shows twisting the stories we grew up with?

I've read all of the Grimm's tales. I like both of these shows so far. I'm not sure that Once Upon A Time can be drawn out for more than one season though. Of course, perhaps that is the plan. Grimm's plot is a little dicey but they have definitely set it up for the long term- new monster every week!

I think it is just called "Grimm's Fairytales." I haven't read them for a year or two so I can't really remember. Sorry!!!

you could probably look it up on amazon too, at least to get titles and authors to take to 1/2 price book.. I think I will be too.
I really hope Once upon a time is more than once season, but I feel that you may be right... same about revenge, how far can it be drug out?

I haven't seen Grimm, isn't it on 11? I still only get that channel intermintently. Once Upon a Time can go for ages, Lost did and it's the same writer. Love that show!

I watched Grimm last night. I like it! Less scary than American Horror Story so all is good :-) I love seeing different twists on the fairy tale characters.
