Whoopi Goldberg has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, a Tony Award, an Academy Award, two Golden Globe Awards and two Saturn Awards. The successful actress has ADHD and dyslexia, neither of which hold her back in her career. Famous People with ADHD and other learning disabilities are examples that help inspire others with similar difficulties. It can be beneficial to children because they can relate to others who have learning disabilities and have succeeded in many ways, despite their struggles. It’s powerful to see that even though a famous person had a disability they were able to overcome it and take advantage of the gifts they had. DS1 is having a lot of problems reading and I think he has a slight reading disability (possibly dyslexia). It makes him really depressed and upset that he has so many problems with it. It makes him not want to do his homework, he gets really down on himself, and feels like he can't do anything right. It hurts to see how much pain it causes him.
He may go through testing in January and not that I want them to find anything but if they do we can finally get him the right kind of help he needs.
