My DH always calls. I would be concerned that he brushed off your question too.

I agree 100% with Super, it comes down to respect in my book... He always calls if he knows he will be more than 20 minutes late, but most of the time he will call when he leaves or is on his way home.
I would also be concerned with the way your DH responded. Let him know how it made you feel and hopefully he will remember that if it were to happen again.

Is your birthday or anniversary coming up? If yes, then his "don't worry about it" comment makes sense. But if not -- then I agree that you should talk to him about that statement. How can you NOT worry? 10, 15 minutes is one thing, but a full hour can mean that our imaginations run wild and we think our DH is in the hospital or a ditch somewhere. Not fun!

My DH always calls when he is leaving work. That way I know when to expect him. He has been working overtime lately and can't call until they are done but I know that is a possibility each day.
