Due to circumstances that I knew were coming, I have to buy a new used car next week. I think that I have pretty much narrowed it down to which car that I want, but I an torn between buying a 4 Cylinder or a V6. Yes, mechanically, I know what the differences are. And my minivan was a V6...but will I really notice the difference in a 4 Cylinder car?
I know that they say a V6 uses more gas, but when I looked up the model that I am considering...they both have the same mpg. Possibly, because the car is a mid sized sedan?!?
Anyways...any ideas/suggestions for me?

Grrr. Posting issues.
I don't notice a difference between a 4 and 6. I pretty gentle on the acceleration. DS1 says my 4 cyl has no pick-up. I say he has no patience.

V6 all the way. My van is a v6 and DH's car is a 4 and I hate driving his car. I feel like it has no power and It seems to take forever to speed up. Maybe in a bigger vehicle it wouldn't be as noticeable but I can definitely tell the difference.

Hubbys truck is a V6 and my new car is a 4cyl... I don't notice much of a difference, possibly because of the size difference. My car still has that get up and go that I love.

I have a 4 cyl and hubby has a V6. I don't notice a difference but he always complains that my car takes forever to accelerate when he drives it.
