Getting nervous! Like my subject line says, DD only peed once on Saturday. She didn't pee when she woke up, she finally peed around 1pm Saturday. Then not again until about 10 am Sunday, even though she woke up at 8:00am. She then pooped and a teeny little pee came with it. Then she peed for the last time around 1pm today. It's now 11pm on Sunday and since saturday am, she has only peed 2-3 times. I did notice her pee has kind of smelled like 1st morning pee for a couple weeks now, and I have been pushing liquids and she seems to take them ok, I ask her if it hurts to go potty, she says no. She doesn't seem too different but only peeing 2-4 times over a whole weekend seems VERY odd to me. She seems normal otherwise. Anyone else thing this is weird? Any advice? Thanks Mommas! ;-)

I would increase liquids in her diet and not give salty/sweet/processed foods for a few days (cheese has a lot of salt, in case she eats a lot of it . I would watch her for a few days. And, cranberry juice is a good way to flush out any bacteria if there is any building up.

I would call you dr and ask them what they think. They might want to test her for a bladder infection. DD had one a few months ago and had only had 1 wet diaper in over 12 hours.

I'd take her in and get her checked out, especially if she's drinking a lot of liquids/eating and not voiding anything but once a day, that just isn't good in my opinion.

I would either call the nurse line or just take her in.

She seems to be better now. Better mood and spirits too, I am thinking she must have had a bug or bladder infection. Yesterday she went 4 times and it was a clear light yellow opposed to the darker color it was before. She also seems to be drinking and eating better than she was. As long this keeps up, I will just keep an eye on it. She has her 4 yr check up this week, so I think it will be ok to wait until then, don't you think?

Will she drink cranberry juice? That can be helpful with bladder and urinary tract problems. Let us know what the doctor says. I'm glad she's doing better!

I have a 4yr old DD and she can be the same way, never going to the bathroom. I have now started telling her she has to go try. I honestly think with my DD she just doesn't want to take the time to go. She doesn't drink much either so I make her drink at each meal. Hopefully it is just a common thing at that age;-)

Good to know! I just picked up blueberries yesterday! I do make her try but she would just sit there and nothing. Thankfully, she seems to be better! Thanks everyone for your advice!!
