This year our past traditions have been changed and So this year we are home on Christmas day!! WOOT. But I know people do fun things like go to a holiday movie or so drive to see lights etc. Do you guys do anything fun like that? Let me know. We are hoping to start fun new tradition. I was thinking of tubing but I doubt places would be open. TIA!

I know a lot of people that do movies. Since your DS is young that might not work right now. You could do a Christmas movie marathon at home and watch some old classics and new ones too.
My family has often gone to my parents friends home for dessert or they come to our house. It is fun tradition to see them. Maybe there are some friends you could invite over?
We also play games as a family.

When I was younger we always went sledding with my grandpa on a hill by their house, then on the drive home we would take detours through neighborhoods to look at the lights and "look for santa"

Love the ideas! When I was a kid, we would play outside (preferably in snow, which may not be possible this year), come in for hot chocolate, and play lots of board games while eating Christmas cookies. We always start a big puzzle on Christmas Eve and work on it over the next few days -- although with little kids this can be an issue because they either a) eat the puzzle pieces, b) hide the puzzle pieces, or c) take the puzzle apart before it's done.

Movie theaters are open, as are many Chinese restaurants. We noticed today too that Como Zoo & Conservatory are open!

Thanks for the responses ladys! We had a celebration this morning and then came and took a nap. DH made a nice roast and we roasted almonds (he is famous for those), we also went to see the lights. We are now watching Polar Express in jammies and playing with the new toys! Couldn't have asked for a better day. I even got the house back to normal too! Tomorrow DH is off and I'm going to a movie with my little sister, maybe even shop these giftcards off!
