DD has a school event today that parents are welcome to attend. I encourage DH to go since he'll be working again soon and won't have the opportunity anymore. He was talking with her last night about it and she said he shouldn't come because he'd embarrass her and "could ruin my life". I looked at DH and said "Alright! New record, 12 years old and we can ruin her life!" I gave him a high five and we both laughed. DD did not appreciate it. ROFLOL

Use the power for good! My dear friend, when her daughter was a teen, once discovered she would do anything to avoid her mom singing in public. So if they were out and the daughter was being unpleasant in any way, my friend would simply say, "I feel a song coming on." and her daughter would cut it out.

Hahaha! Love it. My cousin told me that when her DDs got to that age and said stuff like, "You are the WORST mom in the world!" she would say "Hooray! My job is done."
