Some years I make a New Year's resolution and some I don't. I want to do something relatively small and simple this year that will help me feel less stressed. I'm thinking of having a goal that three days a week I will meditate for 10 minutes. No, I've never meditated before. And nope, I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to strategically implement this. BUT I've read how good it is for your brain to meditate and I figure three days a week I should be able to sneak in a measley 10 minutes!! Wish me luck. Are any of you making resolutions this year?

I want to use my eliptical twice a week and swim once a week. When I do that for 60 days, I want to add in one workout at the rec center or join curves.

I don't usually do a resolution because I find that it is pointless and it doesn't get stuck to anyway. I make resolutions throughout the year that I don't even stick to and it just ends up making me feel terrible about myself. However, this year I am going to try to get my house nice and organized. I have already been working on it but I need to kick my butt into full gear and get it done the way I want it done!

No resolutions either, I can't stick with them and I have the same goal every year.....lose weight! I think I'm a little more determined this year though.......

I don't usually do resolutions as they are too general (get organized, etc). I think this year I am planning to attempt testing for my black belt by year's end. Not necessarily getting it, but trying for the first time. (many people do not get it the first try.) I want to get more organized and procrastinate less, but I want that every year.

I also would like to learn how to save money better and have my husband do the same!

I remember reading once that resolutions should be specific and trackable (so you're accountable). Just a thought for anyone wanting to be organized--instead, you could shoot for something along the lines of "twice a week I'll do an organizing task for 30 minutes" or "once a week I'll tackle one of the things on my organization 'to do' list" etc.

I need to exercise. That's my goal. At least 4 times a week. I know I will feel so much better about myself when I do.

I usually use the New Year as a time to reflect and begin setting goals. That being said, I set goals quite a bit throughout the year too.
For 2011 I determined to think seriously about graduate school and everything fell into place and I am done with my first 2 classes!
In 2012 I am resolving to be better about staying healthy. Eating better, exercising more and taking care of me in positive ways. I want to work toward building more savings and spending money less wastefully. I also hope that this year brings us some answers on "should we try for baby #2 or stick with DS being an only?" I plan to spend some time with DH this summer on some soul searching for that answer.

As I am paying bills, I just remembered another one....
I will get the remaining bills on automatic payment by the end of January.

I don't do new years resolutions.
I do make small goals for myself though, like I'll get an area of my place cleaned up (living room, kitchen, etc...) or I'll take a walk in the park once a week. Small goals are easier to stick to than long term "resolutions".
