WOW! I think I have lost more after this pregnancy than I did with my other 2 combined!!!!! Sadly I haven't lost those lovely silver decorative hairs, sigh. I had a pony tail in yesterday and I must say I looked almost bald on the sides of my head. My pony is a fraction of what it used to be. Sooooo with all this hair loss you can imagine there is hair EVERYWHERE......YUCK. I am sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom counter every other if not everyday. I can't get it off of the laundry.....washed and dried with Bounce dryer bar AND a dryer sheet. Hair is still found all over our clothes. Anyone have any other ideas to get it off other than using the lint roller? Thanks!

What are you doing to keep it on your head? My hairdresser lady said to be sure to take vitamins. Are you still doing your prenatal ones?

Yes prenatals and fish oil. When I have it down you really can't tell I've lost any. In normal years I due tend to have a shed month in the winter too but this is way worse!

Are you on any BC? I got the shot after I had DD2 and I noticed I was losing way more hair than I did after having DD1 after I stopped getting that not as much hair loss. Maybe if you try combing your hair in the shower that will get most of the loose hairs otherwise I'm unsure?

getting it cut will also help... at least it did for me LOTS! And if you go somewhere where they do a wash and a scalp massage, you can just ask them to get out as much hair as they can!!

I have the same problem after having a baby. I always get it cut short so it isn't as bad with the drains and such. I lose most of mine up front and I hate it...the only part I truly dread about having babes.

That is the weirdest thing! I honestly don't remember having that happen, but it might have!

I totally lost hair after my babies were born. I have medium-length curly hair, and the curls tend to trap the hair that's fallen out in the spirals. So when I would wash my hair it seemed like big chunks were coming out. Yikes!! But thankfully it was temporary, and my hair is thick so it could use some thinning out anyway. While it's happening it's quite disconcerting, however ...

i went through the same thing, the 2nd child it was worse. I had bought Nioxin Hair shampoo and just took my vitamins and really only washed my hair every other day, so it wouldn't be so clumpy in the shower drain all the time. It lasted about 6 months after I had my son. Good luck, it does go away, luckily I have a lot of thick hair.

I don't recall losing any hair after having DS but I did lose A LOT of hair after my miscarriage. I always tend to shed, though. I have so much thick hair but you would never guess it if you saw how much falls out all the time! I also have this weird quirk that wet hair creeps me out. It's fine if its on my head but I can NOT pull it out of the drain. Luckily Mike has no problem with it I brush my hair before I get in the shower so that I can catch most of the loose hairs before I go in. Then after I brush I will grab all of my hair and pull down to get any of the extras. I still lose hair throughout the day but that helps keep most of it out of the bathroom. While I'm cooking, sleeping & at work I almost always have it up.

I was going to say getting it cut too. When it's longer it can break easier and split all the way to the top of your head. I've been loosing hair like crazy lately too! After I got a trim though, it cut down significantly. Maybe get some chopped?
Hopefully it stops soon! I feel your pain!

I don't trust anyone but my BFF who is a stylist in Mankato so a cut will have to wait for a while. I do have long thick hair, I hate short hair so it won't be going much shorter than it is. Also I do normally have a shedding period also during the year. Just not this bad, lol! Thanks for all the thoughts! So no one has any ideas on the getting it off laundry question?

even if you just went to fantastic sams (that's where Ive always gone), w/ the price of a cut, you get a scalp massage and wash...and you could always just ask for a trim.. maybe 1/2 in. or something not noticeable.
THey also have the conditioning treatment (not w/ a cut) they wash your hair and condition it with this special whatever it is.. and it's amazing. it includes a blowdry and brush out too so that would for sure help! I can't wait to go back to get one.. my hair had never been so soft and and healthy feeling!
