Thought I'd put up an update for my fav mama's just incase I don't have time to hop on here in the next few days Went to the doctor today. Still only at 2cm. We'll be going to the hospital tomorrow night where they will put cervidil on my cervix which will have to be on for 12 hours. Then Thursday morning sometime (depending on how things are going when that's done) they'll start me on pitocin and depending on how fast that works little Jason should be here sometime Thursday afternoon/night. Either way we're not leaving the hospital this time without a baby! She gave me the option of waiting another week to see if anything happens... Hellllll NO! lol Plus the front receptionist told me I'm not allowed to make another appt cause I need to go have that baby lol I'm pretty nervous about how everything is going to go since I never had to deal with any of this when I had DD. With her I had one membrane sweep done and the next morning my water broke and 11 hours later she was here. I've heard labor is a lot more painful when using cervidil and pitocin to get labor going. Has anyone ever had to use either one of those to induce labor?? Or both?? How'd it go?? AHHHHH!!! So excited, nervous, scared, anxious!! Wish us luck!!

I was just like you with my first DS. One membrane sweep and I gave birth later that day! With DS2 I had to have pitocin and was worried my labor wouldn't be a easy, but much to my surprise it was. I had DS2 just 5 hours after they started the pitocin. I hope you have a great experience like that too!

I had pitocin with ds my labor was horrible I got sick and threw up When I was having contractions I was in labor for 12 hours and pushed for 2 1/2. When they broke my water it hurt like hell and the epidural didn't work all that well I still could feel the contractions and him coming out. With dd my water broke on its own and labor started without being induced I was in labor for 5 hours pushed for 21 min and she was 9 lbs 3 oz! My pain med were amazing I didn't feel a thing and I progressed way faster and I actually slept through most of the contractions. Good luck! I hope your induction is way better than mine was.

I went into the hospital at 7 am and they started me on pitocin at 8 am. I was only dilated to 2 at around 11 so they broke my water. It didn't hurt me when they broke my water. After that I dilated a cm an hour. I had the epidural around 5:30. I pushed for around 45 minutes and he was born at 8:08 pm! It seemed like pretty 'average' labor to me, it wasn't horrible but it wasn't easy either. Although, I don't have anything else to compare it to

I had pitocin with both my DD's. With DD1 I didn't have an epidural and my labor/pushing was much worse. With DD2 I had pitocin and the epidural. Dr. broke my water at 8:30 am, didn't hurt, and she was born at 11:11 am. Good luck and can't wait to see pics of baby Jason!

Well like I mentioned on FB I had pitocin with my 2nd. I was 7 days late. They told me to go walk for an hour but I only lasted about 15 minutes. I went back to the room paged the nurse and she told me to stay in bed! LOL I don't remember when they broke my water I actually think it was done before the pitocin to see if that would move things along. At one point the nurse rushed into the room and was looking at the heart monitor and asked how I was feeling. I knew something was up. She told me the babys heart rate took a dive but it was back up again. I knew that could happen with pitocin so I tryed not to panic. They attached a heart monitor to the baby's head to keep his heart rate monitored better....that part hurt a lot!
I had an epidural but I could still feel my contractions and everything. My labor started moving pretty quickly after all that and I think I really wasn't in labor for too long. Pushing only took about an hour too! My second birthing experience was soooooo much better then my first!
Again I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

With DD1 I had cervidil and pitocin. I had to lay on my back for an hour after they put the cervidil on...I can't remember why though. They started the pitocin shortly after I was allowed to eat something small haha shouldn't of ate...I'm not sure if the pitocin or labor itself was making me sick and pukey. Her labor was easy peasy once I got the epidural! With DD2 I only got pitocin and her labor was super easy too but I was also sick during that so maybe it was the pitocin?!
Good Luck! I'm excited for you!!
