I've wanted to post this question for a while, but it feels kind of personal and weird.....but here goes:
DS is now 1 and ever since he was born and my menstrual cycle returned, my ovulation is pretty uncomfortable. I have every symptom (pain on one or both sides, headaches, light bleeding) and frankly, its obnoxious! It's like 2 periods a month.
Anyone have experience with this??

My period symptoms got much worse after DD1 was born, too. Headaches constantly, pain and cramps like I can't believe. I feel like I got run over by a semi. I've found Midol to work well, with the headaches and cramps.

I would make an appt with your ob. Is your BC any different then having your ds? Not sure if thay could play apart. I'm the opposite, I had bad cramps before having DS and now I have the easiest period ever. Maybe he jiggles something in there ??!

Midol has caffeine so I use Pamprin so I can take it before bed if I want.

I should have said...my periods are no worse than before, which were never exceptionally bad. It's just the ovulation! I never knew when I was ovulating before but now...holy cats. I couldn't miss it!
I don't take any prescribtion bc because I've never handled the hormones well.

I have the same problem with the ovulation, periods are the same, but after DS I can tell. It's weird, because I never did before.

I'd go to the doctor and get it checked out. You might have a hormonal imbalance. It's sorta common after a pregnancy for a hormonal imbalance to happen. Often they are easily fixed by taking certain types of birth control pills for a couple of months to get your cycle back to whatever is normal for you. It also can be ovulating from each side in a month (resulting in two periods) versus one side one month one side the next month. Again they can fix that, but you'd have to go to an OB/GYN to figure out if that's what it is and how it can be fixed. Or it could just be nothing. But why put up with it if you don't have to.
