Somehow about a 1 1/2 years I stumbled across a blog written by Courtney Roth called "EBing a Mommy". Courtney's son trip was born with EB a disease that causes blisters on his skin from even the lightest friction. Courtney quit her job and between her and her mother they cared for Tripp 24/7. Her devotion and faith is inspiring. I had read her blog on Thursday, Tripp was really swollen and very uncomfortable, she asked readers to pray for peace. Tripp went to heaven yesterday (Sat 1/14/12) at exactly 2 yrs 8 months. Please say a prayer or two for this heartbroken mom. Here is the story from ABC news: abcnews.go.com/Health/tripp-roth-louisiana-toddler-disease-battle-inspired-thosands/story?id=15365445#.TxNKYIGQn3UHere is her blog: randycourtneytripproth.blogspot.com/

I've been following her blog too, for quiet awhile. This Mom is/was so devoted to her dear son and tried to make him as comfortable as possible and to bring awareness to his condition of EB. Tripp was such a happy baby despite all his pain. Elmo (Kevin Clash) even wrote songs just for Tripp and at least one was for Tripp to play along with Elmo on his drum. I think Elmo wrote a whole CD for Tripp, but only allowed a couple of songs to be shared on the blog. Tripp & his Mom Courtney inspired many people, Moms especially, to hug their children more and to not let the little things bother them as much. There is so much more... check out their blog if you'd like to. randycourtneytripproth.blogspot.com/ (Dara, I was able to get it to link.)

Oh so sad! I hope she takes comfort in the fact that is isn't in pain anymore.
