I HIGHLY recommend this book. It's a long time coming - a book that looks positively at gender non-conforming children and how to support them. It has a lot of information about psychology and medical interventions (hormone treatments to pause puberty, for example) as well as just everyday strategies. I found it to be far more about actual Transgender kids, rather than Cisgender kids who are gender non-conforming, but also felt like much of the parenting advise would apply to both in terms of supporting and protecting your child. I have heard here and there of kids who are Transgender, but had not really encountered much info about what the child or the family may go through - and the commonalities that so many of them find. It was very eye-opening.
