Awww, looking at old pictures is SO much fun -- for kids and parents. Getting to see each other "back in the day" -- when Grandpa had more hair, when Mom and Dad wore funny clothes etc. is a blast. My DDs are 4 & 7 and they love seeing baby pictures and videos of themselves.

I think the best comment today was, "Wow! Look! Grandpa was a stud muffin!"

Hello! Ii just delivered a home cooked meal to a high school friend who lost her dad yesterday after a 10 year fight with cancer. My famous chicken chow mien. I hope they like it and it takes one last thing of the chest for them for a bit.

Dinner--how nice Love. We're just trying to decide what to eat here tonite. Thank goodness MIL is used to cooking 2-3 meals a day cuz I can't wrap my brain around planning and making a meal. She just does it instinctively. Of course, DH is out picking up a few ingredients.

I respect women like her. I was worried about how this was going to go all weekend. Making for others is harder then making for yourself!

Me too! I hate cooking and I hate planning what to cook. She just does it without complaint. She put a hotdish in the oven before she left for church last night. I guess I was supposed to put that on the table and make a salad and heat some dinner rolls. She didn't tell me any of that--I guess I was just supposed to naturally know. You'd think after 27 years, she'd know me better than that!

DH is watching some National Geographic thing on Netflix about lions and whatnot and I just wanting to cry watching all these animals kill each other Yes, I know it's just life, but do I want to see a hyena kill and eat a baby zebra... No. But DH loves watching this these type of shows.
