Yikes!!! That is crazy. My biggest baby was under 7 lbs, so that 14-pounder was twice the size ... that's nuts!

Girls- I love you all but you are driving me nuts with all of your "ouch" posts! It isn't that big of a deal! It doesn't make a difference if the baby is 6# or 16# for the actual delivery- the size of the kid's head and shoulders matters. Just because you deliver med-free doesn't mean that you have pain! Also, just because the kid is huge doesn't mean mom is going to tear! I know women who have torn and had painful deliveries with 6# babies. I also know a couple of women that have had babies over 10# that didn't tear at all (or at least not enough for stitches) and who swear their deliveries were practically pain free. One of those women had three girls and birth weights were 11#, 12# and 13#. These women were all accepting of their bodies abilities and didn't go into their labors scared. You tense up you feel more pain, you relax and you feel less. PROVEN FACT. Ok, stepping off of my soapbox now. =D
