How is everyone feeling???
The hyperemesis has taken a toll on me.. lost about 22 pounds in three weeks... which is about how long that I couldn't eat or drink anything. Urgent Care gave me a couple liters of fluids, IV meds and a script to take home. Things have been pretty good since Saturday! Been able to eat a little bit and I'm back to normal with my fluids.
I think I picked up a cough and chest thing at the UC though.. ughh.

I know I'm new, but I really like what this sight has to offer, adult conversation! I was never diagnosed with hypermesis, but some days I felt like I had it. I didn't gain a pound til my 5th month. My doctor gave me some nausea medication, I hated taking it, cause I could never remember when I took my last dose. Crazy pregnancy brain!! Hopefully your doctor gave you some good medication. I am almost at week 39, and I still feel sick every day. I no longer take the nausea medication. I have just tried to deal with it. But I don't have much time left, so I can see the light. With my first born, the nausea went away as soon as I gave birth, I am really yearning for that feeling. Hang in there! I am feeling happier lately, not stuck in the will this ever end mentality since the new year. How far along are you? Do you have any other kids? Take care of yourself and the little one!

I'm almost to 31 weeks. Crazy how fast this pregnancy is going! I've been feeling pretty good so far, just lacking motivation and energy. I'm guessing that this baby will be bigger than DS tho, her kicks are way stronger than I ever remember for DS.

WOOOW! 31 weeks already megan!
I'm feeling better day by day it seems, but then I say that and immediately feel like I need to run to the bathroom! lol Today is our 2nd ultrasound. 9 weeks! WOO! should be able to see and hear baby better. I feel like I've gained weight already, and am showing. I think tomorrow will be the day I break the news to the boss man.
Sorry to hear your hyperemesis is so bad, but I'm glad you're getting some fluids in you. Almost through the first tri!!

you're going on your second ultrasound and I can't get a damn appt. lol They didn't want to see me til the 10th week, then yesterday I got a letter in the mail (they probably tried to call and I didn't answer) saying that my appt has been cancel and to call back for another appt. So frustrating!

I'm 30 weeks today! I still have the OB home nurse coming out once a week to check on me and Squirt. I have now gotten some privilages back such as light house keeping, making easy meals and I can venture out of the house if I only go for a short time and sit while I'm out. No walking around. I go for my next appt. and growth ultrasound on Monday. I can't wait to see how big squirt is getting. I'm so ready to be done though. Bed rest really stinks.

Wow really? Well, when they first scheduled mine, they thought I was at 9 weeks already. Turns out I was only 7...so my doc said come back in two weeks if you want. Then I have one with my new doc next week as well. I sure hope you get in soon!
OOB, hopefully baby stays happy and healthy in your belly for a while longer still!

Hey ladies! I'm 20.5 weeks now. Had an ultrasound today! Little girl is growing well and looks completely healthy. I'm still battling hyperemesis as well, but it's starting to get better. I am finally a pound or two over prepregnancy weight. We go back Friday for our 20 week checkup and to check on my body since kidney stones passed last week.
We're moving tomorrow to Denver. It's about 40 miles north of where we are now. I'm nervous to move so far away, but excited non the less. Just really sleepy from all this packing! Lol
Glad to hear everyone is doing pretty well! Prayers to you Isis. I hope you get to feeling better ASAP!

I called to reschedule my appt. and they said that Dr Y was booked til the end of February, and Dr. R was booked til a day or two before that... WTH! Now I know there is a baby boom! lol With Preston I could call the day before and get in for a monthly checkup or ultrasound. So now I'm going to see someone I've never met in the same building, but I hear she's super great! Do you think that after I see her or this appt, that I should try and schedule the rest of them with my reg. OB?

I don't see why not! Unless you really like this other dr, then I would stay with her

Isis- not sure where you go, but I went to Partners OBGYN in Maplewood by Burlington Coat Factory & Jo Ann. My OB was Dr Wilbrand-Conley and the doctor who delivered DS (and saw me for the last few weeks Dr. W-C was out of the country) was Dr. Votel. I really liked Dr. Votel....I also loved the CNP who I worked with for infertility treatment. BTW- not to start any rumors....I am not pregnant just wanted to help Isis

Dara, I go to Aspen in Bandana Square.. I've been withthem since I moved here five yrs ago and this is really the first time I've had an issue getting an appt. I'll see Dr. Washburn tomorrow and then try and book my regular doc for the next two months of appts (thats how far out they'll do it).. but if it becomes an issue, I'll check them out! Thanks friend!!

I'm 36.5 weeks and already 2 cm dilated and fully effaced!! My midwife thinks I could possibly go into labor this weekend. EEK!! Little man tried to come 2 weeks ago and I spent then night in the MAC, but we got the contractions to stop and I've been 'laying low' since then. Well, my midwife isn't going to stop labor if it starts again, so I'm off my psuedo bedrest. This is the only weekend til my duedate that my midwife is on call, so I'm eating pineapple, drinking red raspberry tea, walking, and doing whatever else I want! I know baby will come when he is ready but I figured trying by eating a few things won't do much harm!

Lynsee, get a lint buzzer and buzz the shirt on your belly.. it'll wake little man up even more!!
I went in for my first prenatal today... Saw a different doc than normal but I actually really really liked her. She's so understanding, sweet and compassionate... and I think I'm going to stay with her til term. Ultrasound showed that my duedate of Aug.31st may be too early by about four to five days, so that's something I'll have to figure out with my doc next month.
Also found out today that Aspen, which is alligned with ALLINA, will no longer be affilated with any hospital but United! Starting this summer All the OB's from my docs office that deliver the babies will only be delivering at United. I'm a little bummed by this considering I live 2 blocks from St. Johns!! I guess I'll have to adapt if I want my familiar OBs there with me in the end!
