We are planning to make ice cream at home and are looking for good/well tested recipes. Many thanks.

Ooh, my DH makes ice cream using the Ben & Jerry's recipe book ... (but I'm at work so don't have access to it) ... and it is very, very yummy. We like to make chocolate ice cream and add mint flavoring to it and/or add crushed Oreos. SO good!! I looked on line and this link looks like a similar/ copycat recipe for their chocolate version: www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/recs/511/Ben__Jerrys_Chocolate_Ice_Cream35299.shtml

OMG we just made ice cream the other day. The recipe is out of the Better homes and Gardens cookbook. It is called chocolatey velvet ice cream. Super yummy. 4 ingredients: can of chocolate, condensed milk, heavy whipping cream, nuts (we omitted them b/c we have one w/ a nut allergy). We are going to try a different flavor next time so not sure how that will work. I will try to type up the exact recipe tomorrow. You freeze it in an 8 X 8 pan. It reminds me of a mousse or like DQ ice cream. My MIL said it is like Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Though she's never had B & J's ice cream. We made this this past Sunday and it is now gone.

DH made ice-cream yesterday using whipping cream, half and half, sugar and vanilla. It was so very delicious. From now on we are not buying ice-cream
