So this may be a little foreign to some folks -- it was to me. This site uses UBB Code...a lite version of HTML. My best advice is to print this post and keep it near your computer. See the category above that says: Add tags. The bottom row -- third from the left (world icon with the paper on it)...that's the hyper link button. When you press it, you get something that looks like here's what you do with it. let's say your website is: www.ilovemoms.comto make it work, you would go: Link to moms here (this is where you put your text to be hyperlinked) You can bold, italicize, add video, pics...a whole bunch of stuff this way. ALSO, you can add a picture above on the 'attachment' button, you choose a file and load it up from your computer...much like any system. So here is a list of the UBBC codes: ***there's also the C box above that is the CODE BUTTON...so if you want to italicize, just insert the word italicize bold textEverything that you put inbetween the tags will become bold Example: bold text italic textEverything that you put inbetween the tags will become italic Example: italic text underlined textEverything that you put inbetween the tags will become underlined Example: underlined text strikethroughStrikes through your text Example: strikethrough subtextSmall text lined out at the bottom Example: subtext supertextSmall text lined out at the top Example: supertext [indent]indents your text[/indent] Everything between these tags will move away from the left margin a bit Example: indented text my siteYou can also put links under text like this. Don't forget the http:// Example: my site NOTE: by default email addresses and urls become clickable so using by itself does not work and is useless.
Inserts an image. Make sure that the http:// is included and that the path is correct. Example:
You can define height (first number) and width (second number) to make an image fit the page. Using exactly the 50% or 200% of the orignal width and height will make the image look best. Example:
Clickable image by combining the img and url tags Example: [member]membername[/member] Clickable membername with icon Example: Martijn If you have trouble applying the code carefully check if there aren't any spaces in or around the tags and if every tag is also closed by the [/blah] variant. Keep in mind that the tag only works when using the type.

Ok, either I'm really dumb, or I'm doing it wrong, or something, but how do we get our avatar photos to show up? Am I the only one being a blonde about this? lol

I was wondering the same thing. I have tried going to my blog, choosing a picture I want as my avitar, inserting it (the url for the picture) into the spot that asks for the picture url and pressing update profile, but nothing happens.

Amy. Your pic has to be on a photo hosting site like photobucket. Go to profile. Modify profile. Scroll down to Avatar URL. Paste the URL of your pic from the hosting site in that line. Remember to go to the bottom of the Modify screen to save changes.

I know that if you use Photobucket you can use the "IMG" code and paste that right into your text. You have to use the reply section, not the quick reply section, though.

Is it ok to have a link to my blog in my signature? I don't sell anything. I mainly blog about my family or my scrapbooking pages.
