My brother is getting married for the 2nd time, and the woman he is marrying has also been married before. Here is my question- because she has been married before, what does that say about a shower? Does she get one?

My fiance and I are getting married in April. It will be both of our second marriages. I wasn't expecting a shower, even though I never had one with my first. (I was young). My mother-in-law-to-be actually suggested that all the women get together for lunch at Olive Garden and asked for a small list of things that I would like for myself (as opposed to the normal shower registrations for the household, etc.) I thought this was a nice idea and gifts aren't necessary. It's just nice to get all the women of the families together to bond.

Oh gosh... This is like the question about having a baby shower for a second child. I honestly don't know! I'd be inclined to say no to the second time around bridal shower and just do a nice lunch out instead.

I would say no to a shower for a 2nd marriage as well as a 2nd child baby shower. Just my opinion though

I, too, like the luncheon idea. I would be inclined to say no as they probably both are bringing household items into the marriage already but hey, who doesn't like to have new things?

I would say no to a normal wedding shower but I do really like the luncheon idea!
