DH is in ER (again!) He says he may loose his right thumb from accident at work. He told me to go back to sleep. Yeah, right. Thanks so much. I'm pretty worried. Wish I had someone to watch DD so I could go to hospital.

Oh, that doesn't sound good, I understand your worry. I hope they find alternate solutions for him. Sending prayers for him and you. You've sure been through a lot lately.

Sending prayers for you and DH.
A few years ago my FIL cut off parts of 3 of his fingers in a work accident. I am can tell you that after recovery he is able to do everything he did before. My MIL was so worried he wouldn't be able to work and he is the main wage earner. He was able to adapt and do everything he did before (he makes custom cabinets) so as scary as this situation is with your DH, know that with the right attitude he can most likely recover and be back at work. I will be thinking of you!

Sending you prayers of course! Is it ironic that I just watched Greys Anatomy last night and one of the patients on the show lost his thumb? They transplanted a toe to replace them thumb. I know, gross, but it's a thought!

Prayers to you. I understand your worry. Too bad you don't have anyone to watch your daughter. Good luck to all of you.

My dad had his foot slip under a lawn mower about 8 years ago....four of his toes were either cut off all the way or mostly all the way. They were able to save all of them since he got in so quickly. Thinking of you and hope he was able to save his thumb!

Has anyone heard from Andrea? I am hoping no updates is good news and means she found a way to be at the hospital with her husband and hoping they are working on making him better.

We have an appoinatment with an orthopedic tomorrow. We still don't know much. They need the swelling to go down first. We spent most of the day fighting red tape. He lacerated his thumb down to the bone about 75% of the way around the thumb just above the knuckle and that bone is broken too. I'm thinking if it can wait to be treated it cant be too bad? Thanks for the words of encouragement. I love my MoM friends.
