During my pregnancy I've been having a lot of issues with contractions due to my anxiety. I pretty much can't handle anything that makes me mad or sad without completely breaking down. Which most of the time results in massive pain. (It's like the worst period cramps ever.) I was in the hospital about a month ago and was put on a semi-bedrest. Last night was probably the worst pain I've dealt with so far. I'm really grateful DH was here and took care of me last night but 99% of the time I'm going through this alone. DH works 24 friggin 7 so it's always just me and DD here. It's just getting harder and harder to deal with

HONEY!!!!!!! (((HUGS))) It'll be ok, just try to stay calm! Does anything help soothe them? A warm bath maybe? Heating pad set on low?

I'm so sorry you are feeling this way and having so much physical pain too. How much longer until your baby is due? Does anything help with the anxiety? Do you have any family nearby to help out so you can have some "me" time?

Aren't there any anti-anxiety meds you can take while pregnant?
Feel your pain though...having the same kind of contractions since yesterday. Not consistent enough for a hospital visit though.

I don't have a heating pad, I really need to get one. When DH is home it helps me stay relaxed because I have some one here to help with things. However sometimes DH is the cause of the anxiety because, well, he can be really stupid sometimes. My baby is due January 4th. I have noone to help. It's just me. I think a lot of what causes it is me not being able to ever LEAVE the house (even with DD). I've tried planning nights out just to get some "me" time and it always ends up falling through. I will not take meds while I'm pregnant. Even though it's a low percentage of birth defects on the baby, I'm still not comfortable with it.

Love- I've only taken tylenol a few times when I was having really bad headaches for a while. Otherwise I just try to suck it up. A girls night would be awesome! It's really hard for me to plan one usually. (hence why I never have them) Transportation is the biggest problem I have usually. It can get frustrating at times.

I have anxiety issues too. Talk to your doctor, but I have been told that one of the best non-medicinal things you can take is Magnesium. It helps calm those nerves, settle your heart rate and help the body rest. This may help control your anxiety issues and stop the contraction triggers. Hang in there honey. If you ever need someone to talk to, let me know. Or we can meet with the kiddos. Anxiety is not a fun thing to deal with, espeically when it sets other things in your body into motion.

oh sweetheart... I had no idea.... Take these gals up on their offers. Just having someone come sit and visit with you for an afternoon or such will give you GREAT therepy! These Mommies know what you are going through and to have that understanding shoulder ALONE will give you relief! You are down in South Metro, though, right?
Can you loose yourself in a good book? Sarah Isis and I are hooked on Kristen Hannah books right now! Might be a nice way to relax? Also, rent some good old comedy movies... like: 3 men and a baby; father of the bride; What about Bob.... ya know? They say LOL is the best medicine!!! Do you have nex flicks? Then you dont' have to go anywhere.
What else can she do to throttle down her mind, ladies? ?

Thanks Cyndy Sus- I would definitely love to meet with some Mommies! Umm.. I live in Vadnais Heights. Not sure if that's considered south metro or not. I'm not much of a book reader but I do love me some Cosmo! I just got my netflix back about a month ago for that very reason. I love getting sucked into a good TV series.
