The tax gods have blessed us and we've been able to get a new TV with a refund. As a result I've got a old style TV available for anyone who wants it or needs it. It's a 32" (I think) and the tag on it says it was manufactured in December 2001. The picture shakes a little when you first turn it on but after a couple minutes it settles down.
Anyone interested? If not I'll take it up for recycling but since it still works I wanted to give someone a crack at it before I did.

Okay, so it's been almost a year but I thought I'd post an update anyway. LOL
I have taken the TV up to Best Buy to recycle it. In fact, I've done this several times this year with expired TVs that were just collecting in my house. The first few times they charged me $10 and then issued me a $10 Best Buy Gift Card (which made it free!) but the last two times I was up there they just allowed me to drop it off and leave. LOVE that Best Buy is recycling TVs for Free!
