Do they work? Do they make you crazy shaky?
What does anyone know about them?

They may work for awhile but a lot of people rely on them to lose weight and don't teach themselves healthy eating and exercise. In the long run if they don't teach themselves that then its really pointless. I think it could be something to get you going as long as your committed to healthy eating and exercise.
I had family who were big on this advocare stuff..it worked for awhile and then nothing because they all relied on it a lot.

My mom takes Alli but I don't know much about it or how/if it has helped her.

I would never take them, too many ingredients in them that are unpronounceable. Plus I can't handle caffeine. Hon, you don't have any weight to lose... If you want to learn to eat healthy come join me at: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/register.asp?from=friend&ReferredBy=11575979 where we can learn healthy habits, good and bad food choices, how exercise is important and what a healthy weight is. There's a great community there and you don't have to pick the "lose weight" category, there's a "be healthy" program too. I have the same user name there too. You have to be 18 for that site, but if you're looking for teens, they have a healthy teen site also. www.sparkteens.com/

I had heard someone say don't wear white pants if your on Alli! EEW!
I was just wondering. You see commercials for SlimQuick where the husband loses 15 pounds by cutting out pop and the wife loses 3. I was wondering if they work.

I always think if it sounds or looks too good to be true then it is!

Even without the SlimQuick, cutting out pop would do that. Men always lose weight quicker than women. There are tons of empty calories in pop, it's liquid candy.

Oh I agree. I just meant that was the commercial. I don't drink sugared pop so I know that's not my issue. I just need to burn more than I eat. I'm working on it and wouldn't take the diet pills I was wondering what you all thought.

I think many of those "quick fix" diet shortcuts don't work in the long run. Even those who have their stomachs stapled end up being able to gain weight back after losing a bunch. If you're not willing to change what you eat, then you won't be living a healthy lifestyle and eventually gain the weight back, no matter what pill, surgery, or diet shake you use. If you're not mentally ready, you won't lose the weight either. You have to be willing to change and allow yourself to fail occasionally. It's how you bounce back from failure that shows if you'll succeed or fail completely. I believe chocolate can be part of a diet also... Just in moderation. Just my opinion though.

Using the diet pills is not good for our health anf fitness. These diet pills lose the weight rapidly for limited time period and cause various side effects for the health. These diet pills affect our liver, lung, and stomach very badly and also bring stress, and depression for our life.
