It is a nice picture, but I saw her on her new show on Fashion star and she is bigger than that (her face, arms, belly). I do think it was airbrushed.

It was a hot topic on FB, I'm sure it will be on here. So let me start out by saying that I think JS is a BEAUTIFUL woman. I love that she can admit to her body problems, face the public with them, and still look HOT! She's definitely a star worth looking up to.
BUUUT - for me, personally, this photo just looks fake. It looks like there was too much airbrushing done. Her belly button just doesn't look real to me, and she may as well not even tried to cover her boob. It's 90% showing anyway. I find it hard to believe that she looks in the mirror in the morning and sees exactly that. Now don't get me wrong, I do photography and I do clean up certain parts of an image...but I wouldn't dare change the image of a person by making their butt larger, stomach skinnier, arms smaller, etc unless I was instructed to. Personally...I just think she should have been more real with it. It took guts, I get it, but be real. She's portrayed such a real image to people over the years of who she is, why start faking it all now?

She is beautiful. Pregnant women are beautiful. But......Unless it was taken several months ago, it's not even her body. Aren't all photos airbrushed though? Especially covers? Certainly not as noticeable as a naked body though.
I think she's just trying to keep her "fame" going.

Well yeah, hollywood takes the term "airbrush" and brings it to a whole new level...but this for me is just over the top.

It IS a beautiful creation. I think us REAL women would just like to see REAL women rather than upgraded versions. But that doesn't sell magazines.

I love the pregnant body.... so gorgeous! But... I agree with you Amy, looks too fake. Her belly button just looks odd, and don't most "pop" by that point in the pregnancy?

Minus the air brushing its a lovely pic! My belly button didn't pop with both pregnancies, DH & I came to the conclusion that I have a deep belly button lol...I don't think her belly button looks odd at all.

Hahaha!! Good point -- where's the cellulite? Where are those stretch marks, huh? Huh? HUH?   I think that when a photograph is airbrushed to such an extreme it should no longer be called a photograph, it's like ... a graphic illustration!!! BUT -- Jessica Simpson is beautiful, good for her for being brave and posing pregnant (even though I'm SURE she had a clause in the contract to get a final veto on how it looked and what got changed etc.) I would NEVER have wanted to be naked and pregnant in front of a team of photographers, lighting experts, makeup artists etc. !! |

I see MANY comments about belly buttons popping, and "no stretch marks?" My belly button didn't pop when I was pregnant. And not EVERY woman get's stretch marks...She is beautiful, and if my body looked like that when I was pregnant, I would take a pic like that too!

My belly didn't really pop with any of my pregnancies either and I didn't get stretch marks at all, so that part of this cover doesn't bother me at all. HOWEVER, I have seen quite a few interviews with JS lately and she is HUGE! Not just baby belly, she has gained LOTS of weight and her face really shows it SOOOOO with that being said I think they WAY over airbrushed this cover. She still looks beautiful how she REALLY looks now so I very much dislike that they completely changed her look for the cover. The point of the naked preggo cover shoot is to embrace and celebrate the pregnant body, right? SO why didn't they? GRR!!!!

Even if she doesn't have stretch marks or her belly button doesn't pop I still think this photo has gone too far in the touch up department! She was "fat" before she got preggars! It's just not a realistic photo.
I guess when your music and movie careers are over you have to find some way to still make money!
