Anyone do anything special on St. Patrick's Day with the kids??? This year DH wanted to have a little fun, he's got some Irish in him and seriously could pass off as a leprechaun if he grew his beard back out (my family loves to tease him about his resemblance lol). We are planning on making a treasure map...find the rainbow and little treasures will be waiting and maybe have some fun green snacks through out the day.
What do you do?

That's a super fun idea!
I feel like a bad mom now but DH and I are having a party and sending DS to his grandparents. (we always have a party in March w/ Irish beer and random indoor games - like Indoor Bocce Ball and Just Dance on a projector - it doesn't usually fall on St. Patrick's day, but does this year)
Depending on when DS leaves for his grandparents we might go to a favorite bakery and get a shamrock shaped cookie or I'll dye his pancakes green or something.

My sister and I are (were?) planning on heading up to Superior to watch two of our favorite Ren Fest bands play at the Thirsty Pagan Brewery. DH has his pool banquet this weekend and we were going to leave the kids with my parents overnight. However, DH now says that he is burnt out and wants to just wants to spend time at home this weekend. =( Maybe I'll go with my sister anyway...

Sounds like he needs some special father/daughter time Angel! No special plan for St. Patty's Day. When the kids were little, leprechauns sometimes turned our milk green as a trick.

I have to pick my parents up from the airport and we'll probably go out to dinner with them... maybe some green food coloring in breakfast or some green cookies. we'll see....

Corned beef and cabbage. That's the only thing that has become a tradition.

We went to Burger King for lunch--green ketchup--and we just finished watching John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara in The Quiet Man.

How was the green ketchup? Was it made with unripened tomatoes?! Lol

Well Lucky the Leprechaun came about last night and left clues around the house leading the girls to a box of Lucky Charms and a movie. We have been outside for most of the day enjoying the weather.

It looks absolutely disgusting and tastes like ketchup. It looks like the algae on a lake late in the hot, hot summer.
