I made that for a mexican themed Christmas celebration....everyone loved it, so easy and delicious - just don't check the calorie content The recipe I used also included sliced almonds on top

I'll be making it with reduced fat crescents and that non cream cheese cream cheese stuff with a foriegn name (y'all know what I'm talking about, right?) =) It's bound to help the calorie count a LITTLE! LOL! =D

angel- not sure if the non-fat cream cheese (it's something like neufachtel) will bake well, I know that when I use non-fat shredded cheese in recipes it doesn't cook well. I used the reduced fat crescents and low fat cream cheese when I made it and it worked. If you try the non-fat let us know if it works!

I agree with Dara! Recipes that call for full fat cream cheese that are baked do not turn out when you try to use lower fat or fat free. I learned that the hard way many times! I can't wait to try this recipe!

Ooo, thanks! I've never noticed that, but I always just use what I have on hand for cream cheese so I may be doing half neufachtel and half low fat cc for all I know! LOL!

If you click on the recipe, there is a comment about using that foreign cheese stuff as a substitution. Says you can't tell the difference.

Hmm, here's a thought for me- don't talk to your husband on the same phone the recipe is on when you are trying to make this for the first time! I messed it up a little so we'll have to see how it tastes. It looks and smells really good! I mixed the butter in with the cream cheese and sugar then forgot the vanilla. So really, that is the only "screw up" but hopefully it'll still be delish!
