Wow, am I crabby or what?! Talking with a co-worker this morning he's going on and on about how I need to college (duh, I know that) and that I need to spend money to make money (take out loans to go to college). Again, duh, I know that. But he has NO idea that I've facing foreclosure or how unstable our financial life has been for the past three YEARS or that I probably wouldn't even qualify for a loan because my credit score SUCKS. Best of intentions but still... C'mon. Don't you think if I could have figured out a way to go to college, work full time, be a mom, be a wife, be a housekeeper, and be ME all at the same time I would have done it by now?!
So I let it slide off my back... mostly. Best of intentions and such...
But now this afternoon my mortgage company wants a profit and loss statement for the last three months for my independent consultant contract with my direct sales company. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! As if my pay statements and bank statements aren't enough for them?! Now it's like I have to get ready for my annual tax prep! AUGH! Cross all the T's and dot all the I's and sign your life away for the chance they will ALLOW me to keep my home and not rip it out from under me. And then I start to think, what if they see my profit & loss statement and somehow because I will not show a profit with earnings they'll say I'm not doing enough and take the house anyway. Okay, maybe a little over the deep end...
C'mon. Can't a girl just do her thing, try her best, and tell the rest of the financial powers that be to go suck an egg?

I think you are perfectly entitled to feel what you feel! The rest of the world doesn't always kow the backstory and many judge-- I just remind myself that they have opinions AND opinions are like A-holes....everyone has one (and the same one doesn't work for everyone).

Hang in there, Merr. That does suck ... people have good "intentions" but that's so true, when a person doesn't know another's full story, it's usually best to ZIP it.
Take deep breaths, in, out ... in, out. Repeat. Know that we're all supporting you and rooting for you!!

Nobody ever knows what's going on in your life and you def don't need to broadcast it.
I admire you so much for going nose to nose with that damn mortgage company time and again! You are determined to save your house! And, if you had an extra 2 minutes, you'd be determined to go back to school and you'd rock that too!

Girl I can only imagine how totally stressed you are right now. I think if you could find the time/loans you would certainly rock at school. I didn't really understand much of that earnings statement thing but I hope it all works out. I know how hard you have been fighting to keep your home....don't give up now.
P.S. Did you see my help wanted post....maybe it would be something your DH would be interested in? Thought of you when I posted it.

So sorry....I am sure it must be horribly frustrating to keep having hoops to jump through at every turn. Hang in there! Know that we are thinking of you and sending positive vibes.
On a side note, if you ever do decide you want to go to school you would likely qualify for federal loans and they don't do any credit checks, it is based on income level. I was really nervous we wouldn't qualify for subsidized federal loans (meaning I don't pay interest while in school) with our income level, but we did so I was able to get low interest rate (relatively speaking) federal loans for grad school.

Thank you ladies It was just too much to deal with and I needed to vent for a moment. Mo - I did see your help wanted post and actually looked at it for me but it wasn't quite for me I'm happy to share that DH has been working steadily since January! Dara - I didn't realize federal loans don't do credit checks... That's awesome! Something to file away for future reference...
