My little princess is growing up too fast! She turned 5 on the 16th and lost her first tooth exactly 7 days later, she is about to lose her second tooth! So now I suppose I should finally start getting her to the dentist lol! What should I expect at her first dentist appt? I am assuming they are nice to kids lol! When did you start bringing your midgets to the dentist? What age did they start losing their teeth? I know she got her teeth super early (2 teeth at 3.5 months) so losing them early is natural I suppose. Attachments:

Wow, congrats on the lost tooth! Exciting!
My DD1 started losing her teeth about age 5 1/2 ... We started our kids at the dentist at age 3. We go to a pediatric dentist and the people there are great. We talked ahead of time about opening wide, and played "pretend dentist" too. It also helped DD2 to use an electric toothbrush beforehand -- originally she didn't like the feel of the polisher that they use but the electric toothbrush was a similar feel on her teeth.

My DDs went to the dentist around 2-3 years old!!!!! That's the age my dentist friends said they should go. I didn't listen to the Peds Dr, IMO they don't specialize in teeth so they really don't know what to look for concerning teeth issues. Glad I did since DD1 had an extra baby and permanent tooth. She also had a cavity already by 4 yrs old! Since we started going to the dentist she hasn't had anymore, thank goodness! We go to Riverdale Pediatric Dentist in Coon Rapids! They are AWESOME!!!!! Very kid orientated and friendly. My DDs LOVE going to the dentist! www.cavitypatrol.com/

Well, my baby sister lost her first tooth at the age of 5, 5 months before she turned 6. I think that it is natural at that age for a kid to loose her tooth..
BTW, you daughter is so cute and adorable!

I started taking DD to the dentist when she was 3. She lost her first took around 5.5. At age 6, she has lost a total of three so far. Her first appointment went super well. The hygienist show DD each tool, let her touch it and explained what it was for. She made the visit fun.

Congrats to your DD! So exciting!!
We brought DS (3.5) to the dentist for the first time last week - It was awful. He refused to open his mouth the entire time we were there and we ended up leaving. It was so frustrating because we had talked about it before hand, and practiced opening wide and watched the Bubble Guppies episode about going to the dentist. He was so excited about everything until we got there. We will probably try again with a different pediatric dentist in a few months.
