Has anyone tried this cookbook? I love our rice cooker but have only done really basic things with it (rice, obviously, but different types and also quinoa). This book has instructions for how to make pilafs and rissotos right in the rice cooker, but what I"'m most interested in, is the main course and all in one meal recipes. In these you use the steamer basket (while I'll admit I have only used to store the utensils and instructions from my rice cooker) to steam veggies and/or meat or fish while the rice or other grain cooks below. I think this would especially be great in the summer when it's too hot to use our oven, and I always feel like I run out of ideas of what to make. So, anyone have experiences with more "complicated" things or main dishes in a rice cooker? Or this cookbook in particular?

I made 3C's rice - with coconut, currants and cashews. Tina said she would have settled for 2 c's (she doesn't like fruit), but I thought it was really good (and she ate it once she picked out the currants). Ian wasn't very hungry, but ate some.
