Granted DS is only in 1st grade but he does not wear tanks under his shirts. He would get too hot.

I believe the "technical" name for them is "A-shirt." (You know, like a T-shirt.)

I did buy them some this year because they are suppose to wear uniforms. I was going to buy them a couple of dress shirts and the material seemed rather thin so that was my main motivation for getting them. I don't really care for that style but they do so I let them get a package. They wore them a lot outside on hot days rather then wearing them under there shirts. However I have heard a lot of people do that just to help keep moisture away from their bodies and clothes or just give an extra layer of something....especially for huskie guys (hides more).

I spose it would be creepy if you went to his class and started lifting up tshirts? Yep. Creepy. Never mind.
My DS wears tshirts or ashirts under his shirt but he's 19--not directly relevant.

Nope. My son hasn't worn an undershirt of any kind since he stopped wearing onesies. He would definitely get too hot.
