So I have an 8 year old that I still tuck in, we a special situation. Just wondering what age do you stop tucking them in. Thank you

As a mother of 2 children in college and one 16yo, my answer is as long as you possibly can.

Realistically, I probably had kids putting themselves to bed by age 10 BUT I still wished them a goodnight and came in for a hug and a kiss.
Now my babies are 18 and I go to bed before they do. I stop by their rooms and say Goodnight on MY way to bed.

I was asking because someone recently said isn't he big enough to go to bed by himself. So I thought I would ask here and see what the moms on here thought. Thanks

I have a 9 and 6 year old and still tuck them both in and say bedtime prayers. I plan to do it as long as they will let me.

My boys are 8 & 10 yo. I still go up and tuck them in say goodnight and love you. They ask me to still so I am still going to do it!

My kids are 7 and 4 and tucking them in is one of my favorite parts of the day. So I too will do it as long as they let me. I always go and look at them while they're sleeping before I go to bed, just to make sure they have enough blankets on cold nights etc. ... they're so stinkin' cute while they sleep, and if I've had a challenging day parenting it's nice to have that sweet moment to end things on a positive note ~ |
