Hi Love, CONGRATULATONS for your new assignment with champ's site!!!!!!!! Check with Lilmermaid, she recently posted a bunch of things for kids. Bubble jug (bubbles in a large iced tea jug with a spout to refill bubble containers.) Sidewalk chalk, etc. I didn't bookmark it so can't find it. My suggestions: Color crayons that are broken, too short, etc. just melt them down and put into muffin tins to make new crayons again. Homemade Play dough Lots of ideas too, at Family Fun magazine. familyfun.go.com/

Have them color with markers on coffee filters. When finished coloring, spray with water bottle and let dry. You have a really colorful almost tie dyed and can make it into anything you want. We are doing this for mothers day and are cutting flowers out of the filters!!!

we make those into butterflies, by putting a pinchy clothes pin in the middle to make wings, then put googly eyes and pipe cleaners (as antenae). They are so cute... especially w/ a magnet on the back!

just avoid dark colors like brown and black.. they tend to wash out the pretty colors... and waxpaper works well to put them on to let them dry so the marker doesn't run onto anything.

I have always wanted to do this with my kids, maybe this summer! My IL's neighbor was a 1st grade teacher and she did this in her backyard for her boys, it was so neat and fun! It wasn't this big but I'm sure you could make it any size. www.escapadedirect.com/sunflowerforts.html
