Jury found her guilty on two of three counts. Sentencing on July 9th. www.startribune.com/local/149999655.htmlJurors convicted Amy Senser of criminal vehicular homicide Thursday afternoon in the death of Anousone Phanthavong. She was convicted of failing to immediately call for help and leaving the scene.

I'm glad in that -- it shows just because you have money and power you can't get away with breaking the law ... but really there are no winners here, the entire thing is just so sad for everyone involved.

I agree, whether she truly didn't know or not, its still sad that it happened. If I was in her position I wouldn't be scared of jail like her lawyer said, I would be glad to do my time for what my vehicle did, even if I didn't know.

She may not have know but she should have gotten out of her car and check to see what she hit. If she had done that maybe that man could have gotten some help right away and not lost his life. She could have contacted an ambulance and the police and it wouldn't have gone this way. Plus she didn't want to take responsiblity until threatened. Maybe she was scared but if her actions on the night of where differant she wouldn't have been in that situation.

Today's paper had interesting facts ... like there were no cones in the area where she claimed she thought she hit a cone ... and there was evidence that she drove back around and past the accident site later (like she was looking to see what had happened/revisited the scene of the crime). I hadn't heard those details before.
