For us, I wanted to be married at least a year, but then decided to go to grad school and so that added 2 yrs more. Right around Graduation, I went off the pill (hoping for maybe an October baby) but got preegers in 6 weeks so had early sept baby instead (I was 30). We were fine for a while-- I sort of wanted another, hubby was fine with one--- but after we moved-- and I didn't get in to renew my prescription... we took a chance-- knowing it was about the same cycle day that DD was conceived-- ( but I was 37-- it wouldn't happen as quickly/easily as when I was 30) and sort of left it up to the Powers that Be-- and sure enough-- 6 wks after stopping the pill-- I was preggers again. We had a townhome (not a trailer) both had good jobs and were at a stable place finacially. Only negative-- I found out I was preggers 2 days before we left on all-inclusive to Mexico for our 10 year annivesary and I couldn't drink while we were there.... got the oddest looks when I would ask for something w/o alcohol. If you are feeling it--and things are stable/ready for one-- let nature take its course--

For us, it was more a matter of my health. With having endometriosis, my doctor told me that it was now or never. so we got hitched and got on the baby wagon!
