I have been volunteering since September at the local thrift store in our city and I am done in a couple weeks then I will volunteer again in the fall. So I am basically wondering & thinking should I get them a gift of some kind for thanking them for letting me volunteer there since Sept? If I were to get something what? I have brought them treats before just out of the goodness of my heart. They have loved everything I have done/all the volunteering I have done. TIA I am stumped please give me your opinion.

Maybe I am selfish but shouldn't they give you something for all your hard unpaid work? I don't see anything wrong with you giving them something to say thanks for the opportunity though as well.

I asked my mom her opinion, but she thought I shouldn't get them anything. What do you suppose I could get them if anything?

I was thinking of getting them one of those edible arrangements. What would you do???

The edible arrangements are fun, but also very pricey. I'm not sure what you were looking at spending. What if you guys just planned a potluck for your last day? That way everyone is contributing. I agree with Supermommy in a sense. They should be thankful for you, as I am sure they are.

Is there anything the store needs? Supplies? Hangers? Maybe you could supply something they typically do without.

I like that idea bunsy. Pens, sticker tags might be a good idea.

I agree with Hannah, they should get you something. If you wanted to, bring in treats for your last day.

Well technically they do NOT need to get you anything LOL. You volunteered and when you do that it should not be expected. I would see if they need anything like Bunsy said or get a nice card thanking them for letting you volunteer there and you will see them in the fall. Maybe make a nice banana bread for them to snack on during break or what not.

I wouldn't do anything more than bring in treats on your last day....you are volunteering your time so you don't need to give them a gift.

I agree -- you can bring in a little treat, plate of cookies etc. but you're the one doing them a favor so no gifts are needed.
