This took place not far from where my hubby is from. My in-laws have been to this corn maze many times and never had to call 911.

I would be FREAKED OUT. I HATE mazes. I feel lost and trapped and claustrophobic.
We went in a permanent wooden one in South Dakota. I was panicked. I tried to stick with Dh but he said I slowed him down. I finally used an emergency escape door and waited for the rest of the family.
Horrible, horrible invention.

I can understand that BUT they should have just walked straight through the corn until they got out.. And they were only 25 feet from freedom.. Such a waste of police time and money to send a k-9 unit out there.

Ah. I didn't read the article. Yes, in a corn maze you can just break off the path. Not very clear thinking I guess.
