Technically the plan is for me not to work when we move up but I'm worried I won't be good at the SAHM thing. I have worked retail on and off for 20 years (mostly on-took a 5 year break to work an office job). I would love to stay at a retail company but not store level. Can anyone tell me about working corporate for Target?

I have a number of friends/family who have worked at Target corporate. Their experiences have been really hit and miss. It is such a big company that it depends on the department and individual manager. My brother worked as a property tax accountant and really struggled when he changed managers. FIL works in IT and seems happy there. Some of my good friends are on the training side and they have been happy there. There are also multiple offices two different ones in downtown Mpls, one in St. Louis Park (just west of DT), on in Brooklyn Park (nw suburb)...so location can make a difference too. Overall I think the company is a good one to work for, but it is a large corporation so there are definitely politics and "playing games" among employees in many of the departments.
