What is your favorite market in the Twin Cities? We love going to the Mill City Farmers Market (http://millcityfarmersmarket.org/) but would love to try other locations as well.

I've only been to the Minneapolis Farmer's Market off of Lyndale. I do love that one but it can get crowded and crazy. I go every year with a friend of mine and then a few more times in the summer for fun. I'd love to check out others as well but I live WAY out in the 'burbs so it takes some planning! The closest one to me is in Excelsior and it's tiny. But I do want to go more often in August when more local produce is at its peak.

We are going to try a soft shell crab sandwich next time we go there. It was highly recommended. We tried their organic pork breakfast sandwiches and they were outstanding. IMO they have the best mini doughnuts, which are even organic .

Jrose, it's also fun for kids. There is always live music, a guy (dressed like a clown) making animals from balloons for a small donation, the Stone Arch bridge to take a walk on/ride bikes and see the Mississippi falls, Guthrie Theater (you can go to their top floor and go on the roof to see some spectacular views of the city/river. One day we plan to go and see the Mill City Museum after the market
