I happened upon the Fashion Bug facebook page today and there was chatter going on. Apparently Fashion Bug has been bought out by the company that owns Dress Barn, Ascena. Because Fashion Bug didn't bring is as good of a profit this season, they've decided that they're gong to close all their stores by the beginning of the year.
This is a huge bummer to me because it's one of the few local clothing stores in my area, I have to drive to any other clothing stores. It is also an affordable place to get clothes from small to 3x.
I only recently started to really shop there myself, but like it because I can walk to it if I'm really in a shopping mood when no one is home. I don't have to leave the area to go hunting for clothes and the way I'm needing new pants every few months, it has been a life line for me this year.
I'm not sure where I will be able to shop now! I'm in that weird not plus size but not skinny size yet either...
How will this affect you?

we have a fashion bug in town and I honestly forget it is there. I do shop however in the malls' dress barn store. I am in the in between size as well, I do shop at coldwater creek as well for some items and have been very pleased.

I never really shopped at Fashion bug....maybe 3 times in my life. I do really like the dresses at Dress barn though, I have gotten a few really cute ones for semi formal events for cheap (last one was $30 for a semi formal that I got lots of compliments on).

Vic, there's one in Coon Rapids, right across the road from Costco. I'm not sure if there's one closer to you? Maybe they have a store finder on their website?
